This Privacy Policy explains how I, Becky List, collect, use, and protect personal data in the context of my counselling services. 2. What Information I Collect
I collect the following personal data through my website and booking system:
Name
Email address.
Phone number
Booking and session preferences
Any other details you voluntarily provide in messages or consultation requests
3. How I Collect Your Data
Through Wix Bookings when you schedule a session
Through emails sent to me via Outlook
Through Zoom when video sessions are conducted
Through client work, if we proceed into therapy
4. Lawful Basis for Processing
I process your data under: Legitimate Interests or Contract – to provide counselling servicesSchedule 1, Paragraph 17 of the Data Protection Act 2018 – as the data relates to health care provision
5. How Your Data Is Stored
Your contact and booking details are stored securely within WixSession notes are stored securely in Dropbox, which is encrypted and protected by two-factor authentication.
Emails are managed through Outlook
Video sessions are conducted via Zoom, which is encrypted
6. Who Has Access to Your Data
Only I have access to your data. I do not share it with third parties unless:
You request it
I am legally obliged to
There is an immediate risk of harm
In the event of my death my supervisor will act on my behalf.
Wix, Dropbox, Zoom, and Outlook are third-party providers who act as data processors and have their own privacy policies and security commitments.
7. International Transfers
Some data may be stored or transferred outside the UK or EEA via tools like Wix or Dropbox. These providers have measures such as Standard Contractual Clauses to ensure data protection.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
Request access to your data
Ask for corrections
Request deletion, where applicable
Withdraw consent, where consent applies
Complain to the ICO if you are unhappy with how your data is handled
9. Data Retention
I retain session notes and related data for [e.g. 7 years after therapy ends], in line with insurance and ethical guidelines. Booking and contact info is deleted when no longer required.
10. Cookies & Analytics
This site may use basic cookies to enable functionality (e.g. booking calendar), but I do not use invasive analytics or tracking.
